Hot Air ballooning

We are part of the ReMax balloon team. This was the kids first time (and Joel's) setting up a hot air balloon and they did great!

Everyone got out of bed way before the normal time

Alexanders is always the first to go up. They carry the American Flag
The kiddos loved the pig balloon

Seeing as I can't set up a balloon and take pictures at the same time...all you get is the end. The kids got to help pack the balloon back in the bag. Thanks Grandpa Jim and Uncle Paul for lifting them up
 Joel jumped right in.
putting the balloon away. Definately a team effort

 Such a big helper

They loved being in the basket

the END of June and most of July

I've been running around crazy for the past few weeks and finally have a minute to update our blog. June began with poor JJ finishing first grade. He was sad but I think we've got him excited for second grade finally! Joel left for his annual military 2 weeks a few weeks into June. The kiddos and I survived! (So did Joel)

After Joel got home, I was able to sit down and finish the month of sewing madness that I started at the beginning of June. After 10 dresses and 5 ties, I was done! Joel's brother Bryn got married on the 7th of July. It was a beautiful wedding although the rain didn't want us to take too many pictures!

2 days later, Joel and I attended the pre deployement readiness conference in SLC. The entire day was getting a bunch of information for families to be prepared for deployment. It was enjoyable, except the part where I had to talk. (I'm the Ombudsman for his unit which means I'm the liason between the commanding officer and all of the families) I hate talking in front of people. I was more nervous than when I played piano for Seymour Bernstein!!

We had a few days to recover, see Harry Potter, take the kiddos to 7 peaks and trafalga (both kids got to rock climb for the first time!) and I have sent Joel off again for more military stuff yesterday. He'll only be gone a few days this time but I'm pretty sure I've barely seen him these past few months! Feels like it anyway.

Looking forward to the next few weeks, I am going to training for Ombudsman stuff the first week of August (if they get my stuff done) Joel pointed out this is the first vacation that I have had by myself. Since we've met he's left 15 times and I'm always at home. I think he has a good point! I'll be back for a week of work and then our family vacation to disneyland and the beach house starts! I'm soooo excited!!
