I was just online and realized that I hadn't posted yet this month. As my goal for this year is two posts a month, I figured I should get started!
The month started off with Mr. JJ turning 8! We were able to have a little birthday party with some of the little boys in the neighborhood and a few from school. We took them to NickelCity. Holy Hannah!! Joel and I were running around like crazy trying to keep track of 8 little kids. They were all given a bunch of nickels, we had cake, did gifts, had pizza, played in the arcade and had a go in the laser tag arena. I think that the deal we got was pretty sweet. JJ and all of his little buddies seemed to have a good time. I'll add the pictures next time I post.
JJ has continued playing soccer. He has been making at least 5 goals each of his last few games. I am so proud of him!! He also was able to start cub scouts which he seems to enjoy very much. The leaders called me today and said how much they enjoy him and how much fun he has been!
Ana is 5 and growing. She loves spending time with my sisters little one. She's like a little mom and can't wait for her new little sister to come! She has taken an interest in gardening lately and loves to hunt the chickens eggs. (One less thing I have to do!!)
Joel had his birthday this week. He wanted me to mention that he not only fixed the water pressure in the kitchen but replaced the faucet, the disposal, fixed the garden hose, cleaned the chicken coop and the rats cage. I'm so proud!! ; ) He opened another show this week at work. Due to this, his last couple of weeks have been very, very busy as he had quite a few welding projects to tackle. He made a moon that flys in and out and a huge time machine. They are both quite fantastic. He plans to till the garden space tomorrow so that we can get it planted this week. Ana and I are quite excited!
Regarding myself, we are currently down to about 54 days until this new little girl is due to join our family. I am getting a little anxious, a little bigger and quite excited. I put my two weeks notice in at the State Hospital. While I was sad to do it, it is definitely time. 7 years is a long time. I am excited to spend more time at home with the kids and be able to do more mom things. I have some work lined up to do from home and will continue teaching piano lessons.
We have another appointment with the doctor on Monday to check on how little baby girl is doing. I'm sure she's dandy as she continues to wiggle at a pretty constant schedule.

Seabee Ball
Joel and I getting ready to go in to the ball.
He's wearing the accessories for participating in the Color Guard
Presenting of the Colors and the National Anthem
David Seaver, David Foust, Joel and Mark Kennon were the Color Guard.
The Oldest and Youngest Seabee present getting ready to cut the cake together. It is a great tradition! You can see the POW flag/table in the back. In honor of those who are MIA and POW there is always a round table set up with a single red rose, empty glass, a lemon, salt, a bible and with a white table cloth. There is a moment of silence and a tribute read to them at the beginning of every military event like this. It is really a touching moment and a great honor to be present when it is done.
Joel managed to get us the main piece of the cake!

To keep with the goal....
I'm really trying hard to stick with my goal of writing two posts per month and so far SUCCESS!!! yay : ) So, with that being said, we've had a busy few weeks at the Farnsworth house. The end of February flew by and is quite a blur. Joel left for an AT (annual training) for a week the last week of Feb/First week of March. This meant that I got to stay home and play stay at home mom for the week and I tell you what, I loved it! We're working on making this a more permanent arrangement. The kids and I had a fun week but definitely missed Joel. We went to Chuck E Cheese with my sister one night, had movie nights, played games, made all kinds of treats, played at IKEA and it was awesome! Joel was able to get a flight home on my birthday!! It was the best gift I could have asked for and I only cried a little
Our sweet little Ana turned 5 on the 4th. She's getting so big!! We had a little party for her on Tuesday with my family and some friends. She is one spoiled little girl! She took cupcakes to her class on the Friday before her birthday and got to wear her birthday dress. She loved the attention! I'll try and get some pictures up soon.
Joel and I had an appointment for the new baby. Everything is looking good. Her heart beat is strong and she's growing well. Only a few more months (13 weeks-ish) until she comes! The kids are getting excited and so are we! I love watching Joels face during the appointments. He has this proud smile and it just makes me laugh.
JJ has started up soccer again!! He is so excited. Yesterday, for the first practice of this part of the season, he immediately changed into his uniform and was sad to find out that he still had 4 hours until his practice : )
All the boys were just so fun and excited to be playing again. We are looking forward to the games that start this Saturday.

Valentines Weekend
We had a nice Valentines weekend. My thought was we could do something as we didn't have any kids but I left it up to Joel. On Saturday afternoon he sent me a text that said, "Dinner reservations are for 8" but no matter how much I asked, he wouldn't tell me where we were going. Of course, I just got excited. We don't really ever get the chance to do anything!
So, I didn't know what to wear as he hadn't said anything about where we were going. After a while I finally got it out of him. We were going to the Chef's table. It is a really nice place that neither of us had been to before. I changed into a nice sweater as I have very little in my wardrobe that fits right now...and off we went.
We had a lovely five course meal accompanied by a grand piano. It was so wonderful! It was nice to be able to spend the time together. We felt a little out of place in such a fancy establishment, but it was great! We've decided that we'll make it a tradition the weekend before Valentines day. We went home, changed into Jammie's and cuddled up watching Kate and Leopold. The day was absolutely perfect!

The Tale of Rosie Rabbit
Last Monday, as I was going to get my niece, I stumbled upon a rabbit (Yes, a rabbit!) in my driveway. I thought this was odd as we live in the middle of city. I tried to get close to determine if it belonged to someone and take a picture. Alas, it was 0700 in the morning and too dark to get a good picture. It stood up and looked at me and hopped away. Oh well. I left to go get Eva. Anyway, I got back and told Joel about the rabbit. He did the "sure Sarah....a rabbit" and I was beginning to feel like I was going a little crazy!
Fast forward a few days and we find ourselves at Thursday afternoon. JJ is sitting at the table and I am working on stuff in the Kitchen. He looks up from his homework and says, "There's a rabbit outside" (See! I KNEW I wasn't crazy!!) He went outside and with the help of the neighbor kids, was able to catch the rabbit. The kids named her Rosie. It so happens that she is very friendly, clean, and will let you hold her. She plays around with the cats with no problem! Sounds too good to be true. But now, we have eight "pets" ( 3 cats, 3 chickens, a rat and the rabbit) She hopped around the house throughout the weekend and we had no problems with her. She's been staying in my cat carrier as I don't have a hutch for her.....
Monday night, as I'm heading to bed, Joel he's going to let Rosie out to hop around as she hasn't been out all day. Later, he comes to bed and I asked if he'd remembered to put Rosie away. He said, "I thought you did" ...uhhh....obviously not. So, he gets up and starts looking around the house for her. NO RABBIT!!! Oh well. I woke up multiple times through the night with dreams of her jumping on the bed (I blame the pregnancy). When I got up in the morning, still no rabbit. Joel sent me a text at 1230 in the afternoon telling me that he'd found her, outside and chilling under the boat. Sounds good to me. He took the cat carrier out so she would have food, water and a place to sleep. She's perfectly content being outside. Apparently she figured out how to work the cat door. Smart bunny! So, now, Rosie is our outside rabbit.
